Tetris = Therapy is an electronic post pop band from Copenhagen consisting of three young exiles from the outer reaches of Denmark. Their sound is dreamy and intense and has been described as the Future Islands, Postal Service and M83 clashing with the atmospheric raw power of My Bloody Valentine. Both the occasional tongue-in-cheek pop song and a deep sentimental immersion has its rightful place in their universe.
Their live shows are energetic, loud and dynamic affairs underpinned by an exciting delicacy and intimacy both profound and exhilarating, and the band has played a ton of shows in their home country with a wide variety of renowned acts.
In spite of their ripe age of 23, the three guys have enjoyed a great amount of coverage all over the internet, with both New York Magazine and Dave Allen (of Gange of Four) singing the praises of Tetris = Therapy on their respective blogs.
Ambitions are high for the band who have just released The Temperance EP, are pushing for national airplay, as many gigs as possible, as well as a label unafraid to take up a sound that is constantly hurtling forwards. The boys in Tetris = Therapy are three young, focused guys who love what they do and who cannot wait to take on the world.
Praise for Acquaintances:
“T=T’s debut album Acquaintances is an anthology of musical stories rich with a lifetime of experiences — often ending with epic climaxes that leave your heart swelling in residual echoes. The pop-rock track Seasick perfectly captures that sinking realization of a relationship’s doomed fate…
…Tetris = Therapy’s debut album is unspoiled, larger-than-life, and mesmerizing — a perfect blend of Scandinavian sound and fresh talent — and quite deserving to be on one or more of your playlists.”

“The music is an unpredictable blend of just about everything from noisy shoegaze guitars over grandiose post-rock to electronica and heavy electronic beats, and at times it’s almost a bit too overwhelming. So listening can be quite a challenge, but I really like the charming playfulness of the music…
….this could easily end up being nothing but fantastic.”

”…Foofaraw is such an amazing track… layers of guitars over electronic beats and soothing keys… mellow then intense then mellow again… feels right. I want to hear more from them and would love to see them live.”
